The Dial
04:15
|
|||
adjourn the all incumbent cries
i'm fixated on a certain dial
that represents and misinterprets
everything we see as perfect
while and while the crows stood still
like plastic bags covered in fur
and angel hairs thrown in the bunch
a battery between two magnets
time to pick your first new born son
I am a fool, as I wait for the tides to pick up
with my feet in the sand, I cry
even when the knife's in my palms
I am the one, getting slain on the kitchen table
are you happier yet?
running everlasting laps
sugar water running from the tap
I found happiness in greed
sheets and sheets of golden plaster
I'd touch the sun if I didn't know better
time to pick your new first born son
I am a fool, whose been waiting
for the tides to pick up
with my feet in the sand, I cry
even when the knife's in my palms
I am the one, getting slain on the kitchen table
are you happier yet?
sheets and sheets of golden plaster
I'd touch the sun if I didn't know better
if i didn't know better

Halo
02:41
|
|||
I like the way things move
a quiet hum evokes a churning ruse
subtle thoughts, the choir starts to flirt
cue eluding ambience and muse
my halo bleeds into this world
of angel wreathes on every door
oh my halo bleeds into
the hungry lambs will never leave the zoo
yet their mutter is provocative and cruel
my halo bleeds into this world
of angel wreathes on every door
I stumble as I roam the neighbors lawn
well oh, my halo bleeds

Like Violins
05:13
|
|||
born on the edge
into the estuary
a slow descend
I left my senses at the door
a heavy rain
what is even happening?
do you hear the preacher
smack his muddy lips?
as we corrupt sick ligaments
engagement rings on parcel worms
and then beneath the dirt, my fingers squirm
like violins, they're cutting in
a wave
and while my limbs are growing short
I play pretend
like someone's watching from the shore
but I can not leave
these ropes are out of reach
hold your own, while I feed the ghosts
that i have left behind, in other lives
I didn't try to run, I didn't try to run
I swear, i'd never leave
and you call this home,
all i see is cemeteries
and the family room
is an obituary
like violence, the cradles here
I looked into the microscope
to find that everything is dead or alone
it starts to really hurt
as I scream, these walls have ears
but they're not listening
the vultures are circling in flight
the cue cards are turning
the vending machines
have started on fire
tonight, i'm only screaming
i'm lying here for hours
but I barely breath
in the corner of the room, to myself,
i mutter and repeat it's not my fault

Dear Samaritan
05:14
|
|||
ripped from their beds
the newspapers blankets
scattered in a mess
don't blame yourself
just blame the weather
a good samaritan
who are you? what are you?
lets laminate
these dirty dishes and
hang them on the wall
would you litter your soul
if nobody noticed
just to hold your own
who are you? what are you?
how far will craved mouths wander
in the burial grounds?
see how your paws turn into
casket ladles
I just wanna go, fishing
either this or drown
whose in command?
and are you my leader?
the podiums up for grabs
well this is my life, but this is your body
what if nothing's left?
who are you? what are you? Is it food?
How far will craved mouths wander
In the burial grounds?
See how your paws turn into
Casket ladles
I just wanna go, fishing
Even if I drown
I wrote a letter to myself
and signed it, "how are you my friend?
this life is difficult, I understand your pain,
but it's coming back, it's coming back
how do you sleep at night?"

We Are Soil
04:01
|
|||
well i don't go outside
and I won't be picking up the fire
that you left on the side of the road
covered in smoke
fold
well I don't go to sleep
and I don't want to talk about it
these spots are unique
colored and toned
fold
let it wind
let it wind
let it wind
well these coattails aren't free
it's like your mouth is slowly running out of water
if I am what I eat
then I'm a child
let it wind
let it wind
let it wind
